How she works

Janie came to Evidence Based Psychological Care from school-based work at The Help Group, where she supported students inside the setting where their difficulties usually show up first. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT skills, and play-based approaches, matched to the child rather than to a protocol, and she works closely with parents so that what happens in session carries into the week.

With your consent, she will also coordinate with your child's school team, so that the plan at school and the plan in therapy point the same direction.

What it costs

$31090-minute intake
$20545-minute session

Evidence Based Psychological Care is an out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly. Many PPO plans reimburse a portion of out-of-network therapy, and we provide a superbill for every session so you can seek reimbursement from your plan.

We will check your out-of-network benefits before your first session and tell you what to expect to pay, so you are not guessing.

Do you take insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly. We verify your out-of-network benefits in advance and provide superbills, and many families receive partial reimbursement from their PPO plan.

Does my child need testing first?

No. A family can start therapy directly. If an evaluation turns out to be useful later, our assessment team can take that on.
