Dr. Jason Feldman provides comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, teens, and young adults who struggle with attention, learning, organization, or emotions. His evaluations show families how a child's mind works, where the struggle comes from, and what will help at home and school. Trained in pediatric neuropsychology at the UCLA Semel Institute, he also brings years of experience in evidence-based treatment, so every report ends with concrete recommendations that parents and schools can put to use right away.

What does it cost?
Priced by scope, and we confirm your fee before you schedule. Many PPO plans reimburse part of the cost.

What does an evaluation include?
Every evaluation includes a parent intake, one-on-one testing with your child, rating forms from you and, with your permission, from teachers, a written report, and a feedback session where we walk you through the results and recommendations.
Is there a smaller first step than a full evaluation?
Yes. Start with the free 20-minute call. If you still are not sure what your child needs, our 90-minute consultation reviews the history, prior reports, and school records and ends with a clear recommendation. Nothing has to follow.
How quickly can my child be seen?
Most families complete the free call within 1 business day of reaching out, and we aim to book the first testing appointment within 2 weeks. If you plan to seek insurance reimbursement, your plan may need to approve a prior authorization first, and we begin as soon as it does.
What is the difference between a school evaluation and a private evaluation?
A school evaluation decides whether your child qualifies for special education services under school criteria. A private evaluation looks at the whole child, can give a diagnosis such as ADHD, autism, or a learning disorder, and makes recommendations for home, school, and treatment. You can share the report with your school to support a 504 plan or IEP.
Will insurance cover testing?
We are an out-of-network practice and do not bill insurance directly. Many PPO plans reimburse part of the cost of an evaluation, and we check your out-of-network benefits for free before you commit to anything. HSA and FSA funds can be used.
How should I prepare my child for testing day?
Make sure your child gets a good night of sleep, eats breakfast, and brings a snack and water. Bring glasses or hearing aids if your child uses them, and follow the medication instructions your evaluator gives you. You can describe testing as puzzles, questions, and school-like activities with plenty of breaks.
Do you offer testing for college students or young adults?
Yes. We evaluate teens and young adults, including college and graduate students who need documentation for accommodations on the SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, or bar exam.
